Adam Welch
Adam Welch is an entrepreneur and commercial pilot with extensive experience in government and startups. Adam was an early member of AFWERX—the US Air Force’s disruptive innovation arm—that helped connect government end-users with startup technology solutions. These foundational efforts helped build an ecosystem of empowered grassroots innovators capable of solving enterprise-wide problem sets. He has advised startups on partnership and funding pathways that fostered meaningful collaborations and generated millions of dollars in contract awards.
Adam is also a highly decorated pilot with thousands of hours of worldwide operational and commercial experience. This provides a unique ability to understand and articulate government and commercial aviation related industry requirements and provide empathetic and focused solutions.
Dr. habil. Elmar Bonaccurso
Elmar is an experienced Senior Scientist with deep proficiency in advanced functional coatings and multifunctional nanomaterials, technology innovation and maturation. He is currently the Senior Scientist and Project Manager at Airbus Central R&T // Materials X. He manages projects for the aviation industry and materials science research centers with research topics such as aerodynamic efficient surface technologies, bio-sourced and sustainable materials and innovative processes for future aerospace applications, including microphysics of icing phenomena related to aviation and certification requirements, wind tunnel development and testing.
Elmar is an Executive Board Member at the Graphene Flagship, a Future and Emerging Technology Flagship by the European Commission that represents a new form of joint, coordinated research on an unprecedented scale, forming Europe's biggest ever research initiative. He is also Affiliate Professor at the Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Aerospace Engineering at the Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
Elmar holds a Dr. habil. in physical chemistry and physics of surfaces with the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, and a PhD in physical chemistry and nanotechnology with the universities of Mainz and Siegen.
Dr. Daniel Wagner
Daniel is an excellence coach, technology expert and transformation consultant. He currently leads a digitalization and virtualization project within the BMW production system with a focus on continuous data integration, development of virtual collaboration tools and finally a user centric integration in existing processes.
Daniel has notably worked in different functions within the automobile industry regarding the electric drivetrain before. He initiated and managed a publicly funded project within the E-Mobility Lighthouse activities of the German Government (Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, Project “NEXHOS”).
Daniel is an assessor for the European Excellence Award where he uses the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) model for structured analysis of organizations to identify their strengths and areas for improvement. He has also founded the startup TRIZBOX to apply and teach the TRIZ inventive principles.
Daniel holds a PhD in mechanical engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and Masters in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Munich.
Christine Tovee
Christine is a technology leader in aerospace and innovation. She is a member of Canada’s Space Advisory Board, which provides advice on Canada’s space strategy to the Minister for Industry, Science and Economic Development. She also sits on the Department of National Defence (DND) Independent Review Panel for Defence Acquisition and is a mentor for the Space stream at the University of Toronto’s Rotman Business School Creative Destruction Lab.
Christine has notably worked with BAE, EADS Astrium Services, and was appointed Vice President for Research and Technology and Chief Technology Officer for the US arm of Airbus Group, Inc. At Airbus, Christine helped determine the technology needs of all business lines in the US and for delivered US-based research for the entire company.
Christine holds a BASc in Engineering Science-Aerospace from the University of Toronto and Masters in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the MIT.
Dr. Florian Neukart
Florian is a technology leader, strategist and scientist. He currently serves as the Director of Advanced Technologies with the Volkswagen Group of America and directly reports to the Volkswagen CIO in his scientific advisory role. As a founding member and former CTO of the Volkswagen Data:Lab, Florian gained comprehensive experience in setting up R&D departments, providing strategic direction and managing technical and scientific projects and teams.
Florian has a strong background in quantum computing, artificial intelligence, mathematics, physics, neuroscience, statistics, and IoT, and is experienced in communication with the public. He has been counseling government representatives about the distribution of research funding through industry and academia.
Florian is also Assistant Professor at the Leiden University where he teaches quantum computing at the Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS). He holds a PhD in quantum computing from the Universitatea Transilvania din Brașov, Romania.
Dr. Tobias Strobl
Tobi is a Professor at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology for “Methodology of Scale”, and has extensive work experience in the startup, corporate and academic environment in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Tobi is a lead mentor with the German Accelerator Silicon Valley, Open Austria and the ITU Seed technology accelerator. He is also lecturer with INSEEC business school and strategic advisor of multiple tech startups.
Previously, Tobi was with the San Francisco-based BMI•US, an international strategy firm where he led the global aerospace, defense, and mobility practice. He is also an Airbus Group veteran with work experience in R&D for innovative, fully electric aircraft technologies including technology maturation, strategic technology assessment, IP, risk and opportunity management, and transfer to aircraft programs.
Tobi holds a PhD in aerospace engineering from the Technical University of Munich. He is also the inventor of multiple internationally recognized patents filed on behalf of the Airbus Group for innovative, all-electric aircraft technologies.
Arianna Singson
Arianna is an experienced executive with extensive work in digital marketing, optimization, analytics, strategy and development. She has worked with various corporate conglomerates under Advanced Publications’ CondeNast (Publishing), Lacoste (Retail, Outlets and E-commerce) and Hewlett Packard, Autonomy Interwoven (Multinational Enterprise Company) in New York City.
Arianna is a mentor with the Silicon Valley Venture Development Program by Santa Clara University and German Entrepreneurship sponsorship, and the ITU Seed technology accelerator.
Arianna is also the Co-Founder and Director of Aluminak Sustainable Developments and the Executive VP for STERN Real Estate and Development, after serving the role as CMO with Artstream Hospitality Management Group Inc (AHMGI) in the Philippines developing 6 boutique hotel concepts under her belt.
Arianna holds a BASc in Marketing from the Dolan School of Business with Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, a BA in Thames International with a Certificate from NYU's Stern School of Business.
